Take Part in National Night Out at Heritage Park Thursday

The evening festivities will take place at the park located at 18600 Bloomfield Ave. starting at 7 p.m. on Thursday, August 8.

The city of Cerritos will host its National Night Out at Heritage Park tonight.

National Night Out is designed to strengthen police-community partnerships and neighborhood spirit, heighten crime- and drug-prevention awareness, and generate support for and participation in local anti- crime programs.

Locals in the Cerritos and Artesia community are invited to take part in he celebration at 7 p.m. Thursday at Heritage Park. 

There will also be booths to visit hosted by the Cerritos Sheriff’s Mobile Substation, Volunteers on Patrol, C.E.R.T. (Cerritos Emergency Response Team) as well as information provided on crime prevention & disaster preparedness and a kids print fingerprinting booth. 

Attendees can enjoy tunes from the band “The MVPs," a Classic Car display as well as dine on a variety of food, beverages and snacks for a nominal fee. There will also be a jumper for children ages 2-12.
