A Preview of the July 11 Artesia City Council Meeting

Council will meet at 6 p.m. today to discuss state redevelopment agency legislation and again at 7 p.m. on items such as an exemption to the city's restaurant moratorium and anti-fraud measures.

The Artesia City Council will have a special session at 6 p.m. tonight to discuss the state's plan to eliminate city redevelopment agencies and other redevelopment projects. The Council will meet again at 7 p.m. for its regular monthly meeting. Some of the items on the regular meeting agenda include:

  • A public hearing on a proposed exemption to the restaurant moratorium ordinance passed earlier this year.
  • A public hearing on a proposed ordinance allowing minor increases to living areas in legal nonconforming properties with a first reading and introduction.
  • The consideration of a resolution adopting an anti-fraud policy.
