A Preview of the June 13 Artesia City Council Meeting
The city's budget and upcoming election will be two of many topics for the City Council meeting at 7 p.m. tonight at Artesia City Hall.
The Artesia City Council will vote on the city's financial plan and budget for the 2011-2012 fiscal year tonight as well as amending its expense reimbursement policy for the Council and other legislative bodies in the city.
Some other items on the agenda include:
- Authorizing an election for seats in the Artesia City Council which will be held on November 8.
- A public hearing on the Front Yard Fencing Code Amendment approved by the Planning Commission.
- An ordinance establishing charges for garbage disposal to city residence.
- Consideration to declare its intention to grant a pipeline franchise to Crimson Pipeline L.P.
The Council will also decide on whether to approve a conditional use permit to allow karaoke at Nena's Cantina on 11746-48 166th Street.
