A Preview of the March 24 Cerritos City Council Meeting

It's a full agenda for the new look city council during tonight's meeting.

The reorganized city council makes its debut tonight with as Mayor and Jim Edwards as Mayor Pro Tem. Re-elected incumbents  and Bruce Barrows resume their roles as councilmembers while  takes part in his first official council meeting since being elected.

Here are some of the items that will be reviewed:

  • A resolution which authorizes the execution of an agreement by the Cerritos Redevelopment Agency to transfer leasehold property and real property to the City of Cerritos.
  • A contract for repairs and replacement at the Cerritos Corporate Yard.
  • Report on pending legislation regarding Gov. Brown's budget proposal.
  • An action to support or oppose specific legislation pending in the California Legislature or pending in the California Governor's Office for signature.
