Artesia Christmas Tree

The city lights up the night and opens the holiday season with its annual tree-lighting ceremony.

The community eagerly gathered in front of Artesia City Hall on Dec. 3 to watch members of the Artesia City Council and the Miss Artesia Royal Court officially launch the holiday season with the city's annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony.

The 16-foot tree sits atop a 2-foot platform and serves as symbol of warm spirits and family joy. The tree will remain on display until after the start of the year.
