Asm. Mendoza to Co-Host Free Business Opportunity Seminar in Cerritos

Those who attend the free Feb. 9 seminar at the Cerritos State Farm Agency Field Office will learn how to create their own insurance agency.

With California’s unemployment rate hovering near 12 percent, State Assemblyman Tony Mendoza, D-Artesia, has joined forces with State Farm Insurance Field Executive Kevin McKinney to host the State Farm Insurance Business Opportunity Seminar on the evening of Thursday, Feb. 9.

This event, which is free and open to the public, will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the , at 17777 Center Court Dr., Ste. 725. 

Attendees will receive information on how they can create their own State Farm Insurance & Financial Services Business with State Farm’s nine month paid training (including salary, benefits, and licensing), one-on-one mentor coaching with established agents, $30,000 signing bonus, and more. The program boasts a greater than 80 percent agent success rate, according to event organizers.

“In today’s economy too many people are struggling to find stable employment,” Assemblymember Mendoza said. “We organized this event to provide the struggling unemployed with assistance and disseminate this valuable information to the community.”
