Diamond Bar's Bob Huff Re-Elected California Senate Minority Leader

Sen. Bob Huff (R, Diamond Bar) will continue on as the leader of Senate Republicans, it was announced Monday.

California Republicans in the State Senate have again elected Diamond Bar's own Sen. Bob Huff as their leader, it was announced Monday.

"I greatly appreciate and am proud to have the support of my fellow Senate Republicans as we begin a new legislative session," Huff said in an emailed statement.  "Our caucus has always worked hard to reduce our state’s deficit, ensure we use the taxpayers’ resources wisely and get Californians back to work, all efforts we will continue in the upcoming year."

Senate Republicans cast their votes amongst themselves, choosing Huff, during an organizational meeting between returning and newly-elected state senators, according to his press office.

"The millions of voters across the state who elected us deserve for their voice to be heard in Sacramento, and we will strive to ensure that as we work with our Democratic colleagues to rebuild trust with the voters and grow California’s economy," the minority leader said.

Huff first served as the Senate Republican Leader in 2012, after first being elected to serve the 29th Senate District in 2008.

Before Huff transitioned into statewide politics, he was on the Diamond Bar City Council for nine years, and mayor for two of them.  He headed to the State Assembly in 2004.

The 29th Senate District covers portions of Los Angeles, Orange and San Bernardino Counties.

Hey Trisha, we love Bob Huff for sure. I'm just thinking it's hopeless (because it is). Maybe he should take Vito's suggestion to get some things done. I know it works with Roger Hernandez!

Pretty amazing. The last unprotected minority in California is a Republican.People think they can say or do anything against us without any fear of being called out as rude, ignorant, mean spirited, etc. This shall pass. In the mean time, some voter education. Senator Bob Huff was born, educated and lived in California his entire life. He us a fiscal realist. I have always been and always be, proud to have supported Bob Huff for every elected office he has ever held. Its required patience to wait for my fellow citizens to send him more like-minded help. But he's steady- he's done as well as any man could in his position.

It would be nice if fiscal issues were his focus rather than his obsession with people's bedrooms. Perhaps we'll see him migrate to Alabama or Mississippi soon.

Vito Spagom, Where is your proof that the Democrats take bribes, drugs, use prostitutes? If you have it you need to report it to the authorities immediately. You do believe in following the law, right?

Huff reelected....you did check his voting record on the environment and education? Or does that matter to you?
