Foundation Offers Free Tax Preparation to Qualifying Taxpayers
Free tax preparation offered for those who meet 2011 criteria.
The Buddhist Tzu Chi Foundation is offering free tax preparation to households who meet the following qualifications for 2011:
- total income less than $50,000;
- interest income less than $10,000;
- less than five stock transactions;
- self-employment expenses less than $5,000; and,
- no rental income.
The free services will be offered from Jan. 28 through April 14 at the Tzu Chi Cerritos Service Center located at 13426 Rosecrans Ave. #F in Norwalk, according to a city of Cerritos issued news release.
Assistance for English, Chinese, Spanish and Vietnamese speakers is available. To make an appointment, call (877) 889-8244.
