Hey Cerritos, What's Your Sign?

Look around town and it's easy to see, Election Day has arrived!

Unless you've been around town with your eyes closed, it's hard to ignore the fact that the Cerritos City Council race is in full swing.

Bright signs both large and small can be found at nearly every intersection or neighborhood corner, urging voters to side with one of the seven candidates.

Yes folks, today is Election Day. The day that your vote will ultimately decide which candidates fill the three open seats on the city council.

Will it be first-time candidate  or ? Or, maybe longtime city resident and community organizer . Perhaps, ABC school board member , or local businesswoman and former mayor will get the nod. Or, we could see current Mayor or councilmember Bruce Barrows extend their terms.

No matter which candidates you support, the most important thing to remember is that the election process is at its best when registered voters exercise their right to vote.

For those still unsure about who to support, go to  for a complete breakdown with candidates profiles, interviews, feature stories and video interviews. And don't forget that all 11 precincts in the city will be open for voting starting at 7 a.m. and closing promptly at 8 p.m. For those voting by mail, your ballots must be dropped off at one of the polling stations or delivered in-person to the  at during these hours. All votes must be received by no later than 8 p.m.
