Questions About Obamacare? Cerritos, Artesia Assemblymember Hosting Town Halls

Cerritos and Artesia's local state Assemblywoman Cristina Garcia wants to help you navigate the new heallthcare system which went live this week, with the Affordable Care Act.

Garcia will host two town hall meetings which are aimed at three main topics: how Covered California works, what it means to Californians and their families and how to enroll in the program, according to an announcement distributed by her office Friday.

"Californians no longer have to wait to enroll in Covered California," the announcement stated.  "Health insurance coverage will be offered to everyone -- even if they have a pre-existing condition or can't afford coverage."

Garcia's announcement touted the "discounted premiums with federal subsidies to help pay for the insurance" available to low-income and middle class families through the act.
