Rep. Linda Sanchez won re-election to the new 38th congressional district seat last fall, representing Cerritos and Artesia.
But how much did his House seat cost her?
Campaigns cost money—most of the time lots of it. In terms of dollars and cents, she raised $1,048,195 during the 2012 election cycle, according to MapLight, a non-profit that tracks money in politics.
That figure is pretty typical: the average House member raised $1,689,580, or $2,315 a day, according to MapLight.
