AFSCME Negotiations to be Addressed at May 3 ABC School Board Meeting
The ABC School Board will be meeting at 7 p.m. tonight to discuss several issues, including possibly re-opening negotiations with AFSCME Local 2229 for the 2010-11 school year.
The ABC School Board will open its meeting tonight with a public hearing on the initial proposal submitted by the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME) Local 2229 to re-open negotiations on health and welfare benefits, evaluation procedures and discipline, and compensation for the 2010-11 school year.
Other agenda items at tonight's meeting include discussions on:
- Out-of-state travel for Artesia and Whitney High School.
- Out-of-county travel for Cerritos High School.
- Continuing special education contracts for the 2011-12 school year.
The meeting will be held at the at 16700 Norwalk Blvd. in Cerritos.
