The Cerritos College women's soccer team is headed to the state finals, where it will play against Santiago Canyon, Sunday.
This is the first time the Falcons have been in the title game since 2008, according to a write up in the Long Beach-based Press-Telegram. The article made note that the schools faced one another in the 2007 title game as well.
The Falcons team won the title that year and became back-to-back champions by winning the title in 2008 as well, according to the school's athletics website.
The CCCAA title game will take place at 2 p.m. Sunday at Mt. San Antonio College, 1100 N. Grand Ave., Walnut.
