Got Work? Cerritos College to Host Job Fair on Nov. 9

If you're looking for a new job, it's time to dust off the ol' resume and iron out that business suit because the Cerritos College Job Fair is just around the corner. 

Job-seekers are invited to attend semi-annual job fair on Wednesday, Nov. 9. from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the Wilford Michael Library/Falcon Square sidewalk on the campus located at 11110 Alondra Blvd. in Norwalk. 

The event is free and open to students and the public, and generally draws more than 400 attendees each year. Parking on the day of the event is free in lot C-10 in white stalls only. (A map of the campus is available at www.cerritos.edu/guide.)

Dress Well and Bring Resumes

Participants are advised to dress in business attire and bring copies of their resumes with them.

Attendees will have the opportunity to peruse through different booths and learn about the participating companies, explore job opportunities and network with more than 30 recruiters. Employers representing business, healthcare, sales, retail and other industries will be in attendance.

Free Workshops to Prepare for Job Fair

To help prepare job-seekers for the Expo, the following workshops will be offered on campus:

• Resume Basics workshops will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 26 and Thursday, Nov. 3 from 11 a.m. to 12 noon, in BE 2. 
• Job Fair Tips and Dress for Success workshops will be held on on Oct. 31 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. in BE 4, and on Nov. 1 from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. in BE 6.

Students and community members are welcome to attend these free classes.
