Local Students Recognized by Universities

Local Cerritos students have been successful across the country at their respective universities.

Several local Cerritos students were recently recognized by their universities for academic achievement.  

Loyola Marymount University

Jay Lee, Beverly Pascual, and Monica Rosales, all of Cerritos, were recently added to the Dean's List for the Fall 2011 semester at Loyola Marymount in West Los Angeles.

To achieve the recognition, the students had to earn a grade point average of at least 3.5 while enrolled in at least 15 credit hours. 

The students had to also complete all of their courses without receiving an "F" grade.

Drake University

Elena Clark of Cerritos was added to the prestigious President's list at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa after she completed her fall courses with a 4.0 grade point average. 

In addition, Clark was also added to the Dean's list at the university.

Fort Hays State University

Roland Coates of Cerritos graduated from Fort Hays State University in Hays, Kansas in December with a Bachelor of General Studies in Business.

Coates was one of 443 associate and bachelor's graduates who graduated during the Fall 2011 semester.
