Naked Man Tries to Sexually Assault Male Student At Cerritos Community College

Cerritos Community College police issued a public safety alert after the attempted assault inside a campus restroom.

The police department at Cerritos Community College was investigating this week an attempted sexual assault inside one of the school's bathrooms.

According to a safety alert issued by the Cerritos College Police Department, a man-- estimated to be about 40-45 years-old-- approached a male student around 9:15 a.m. on Monday inside a restroom in the Social Science building.

The student, who was using the restroom at the time, was approached from behind by the man "which his genitals exposed," according to the alert.

"The victim pushed the suspect away and left the bathroom," the alert stated.  "The suspect was last seen leaving the campus on foot."

The man was described as African American, approximately 6' tall, with dark eyes and a shaved head.  It's believed he may be a transient, and had "discolored teeth."

"At the time of the incident he was wearing a blue, short sleeve t-shirt and blue jeans," police said.

Campus police asked anyone who may have spotted the man to contact them at (562) 402-3674.

When contacted for comment by Patch on Wednesday, police said they could not disclose whether or not the man had been found.
