Nearly 800 Graduates Honored at 2012 Cerritos College Commencement Ceremony

The commencement ceremony was held on Saturday, May 12; more than 1,600 students are receiving degrees and certificates this year.

Cerritos College honored nearly 800 graduates during its 55th annual commencement ceremony on Saturday, May 12.

The Cerritos College Board of Trustees and administration presented degrees and certificates earned during the 2011-2012 academic year. Over 1,600 students are receiving degrees and certificates this year.

Dr. Roz Rosen, Director of National Center of Deafness at California State University, Northridge, served as the commencement speaker and inspired graduates to embrace diversity and community, and wished them success with their personal, career and community aspirations.

"Your strong academic and personal preparation ensures a good journey through life after you graduate from Cerritos. It will be your own journey to your own self. Your family, teachers and friends are cheering you on," she said.
