What Parents Will Learn
The Internet can be a dangerous place for children to navigate and cyber bullying is on the rise. This workshop will inform parents of some of the dangers on the Internet and teach them how to set up parental controls with free protection software. Parents can use this software to block and filter websites, set computer time limits and receive Instant alerts.
Attendees will also learn the current trends of bullying and cyberbullying at all grade levels. Information will assist parents to empower their children to handle bullying behavior.
Dr. Shin Liu, Professor of Computer Science and Computer Information Technology at Rio Hondo College will be presenting the workshop.
