Gahr's Perkins Takes Seventh In 400 at CIF Divisional Finals

Gahr High sent a small but talented group to the CIF Track and Field Finals Saturday at Cerritos College.

It was a small contingent for Cerritos Gahr High School at Saturday's CIF-Southern Section Divisional Finals, as senior Josh Perkins and the 4 x 100 boys relay team competed for the Gladiators.

Perkins took seventh place in the Division 3 400-meter race with a 50.46 run. Irvine's Sam Young won the Division III heat with a 48.45 mark.

It was the second consecutive seventh-place performance for Perkins, who earned a trip to the Divisional Finals with a seventh-place showing at last weekend's prelims.
