Hi, my name is Evan Sue and I am a freshman at . I am in the Wind Symphony and I am greatly honored to be able to go and play in Paris and the London Summer Olympics.
I have been in band since 4th grade and I play the trumpet. Being in band takes a lot of hard work and dedication, but the reward is worth it. I have made great friends and have learned a lot from my band conductors.
All the trumpet players have to work together so we can sound good and produce quality music. I go to every band practice, no matter what, so I can do my best. I have to practice my trumpet at school and then at home as well as on the weekends. The more I practice the better I become which helps everyone in the Symphony.
It takes a lot of teamwork when we are playing together. We need to know our own parts and make sure we are playing the correct notes. We also have to listen to each other and make sure we are blending well musically so no one person is standing out. This is a very important component of being a member of an orchestra.
It is an honor to represent Cerritos High School and the city of Cerritos at the London Summer Olympics and in Paris, France.

- Tuesday, July 24 - performance in Paris
- Thursday, July 26 - performance as part of the United Nations Association Event at Central Hall Westminster in London
- Friday, July 27 - performance in Adjudicated Concert at Central Hall Westminster in London
- Saturday, July 28 - performance in conjunction with Olympic celebration in London
