Los Cerritos Center to Host Blood Drive Friday
Save a life, donate blood on Friday, June 21 at Los Cerritos Center.
The Los Cerritos Center has partnered up with the American Red Cross to help increase blood donations this summer, starting with a blood drive this Friday.
The American Red Cross Blood mobile will be at the shopping center on June 21 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the parking lot in front of the Food Court.
Those who would like to donate blood, can sign up at www.RedCrossBlood.org and enter Sponsor Code: CerritosShopping
Tips on Preparing to Donate Blood
Here are some tips for a positive blood donation experience.
- Eat a small, healthy, low-fat meal prior to donation.
- Drink plenty of water or juice throughout the day.
- Bring a photo ID or American Red Cross donor card.
- Wear a short-sleeved shirt or one that can be comfortably raised about the elbows.
- Plan to avoid heavy lifting or exercise after donation.
- Feel free to ask questions and please follow any additional instructions given.
