Soroptimists Invite Prospective Members to Networking Social on Oct. 19

Do you want to help improve the lives of women and children?

Are you a professional woman who wants to make a difference in the lives of women and children on both a local and global level? If so, Soroptimist International of Artesia-Cerritos wants to meet you at their Prospective Member Social on Wednesday, Oct. 19 at 6:30 p.m.

Soroptimists is an international service club that focuses on improving the community, with an emphasis on impacting the lives of women and children. Current members in this club consists of professional women -- both working and retired. 

This club works tirelessly throughout the year to help raise money for local organizations such as Su Casa and the Community Family Guidance Center. The club also provides two scholarships to the Teen Parent program at .

Prospective members who attend the Oct. 19 gathering will get the opportunity to hear more about this service club and also meet current members who are continuing to make a difference in the world. 

This networking social will be held at the home of former Cerritos mayor Diana Needham at 12927 Lucas Lane in Cerritos. If you are interested in attending, please contact Diana at (562) 926-4882 or diananeedham@hotmail.com to RSVP. Desserts and beverages will provided.
